Children's Education and Ministry at Watkinsville First United Methodist Church
At Watkinsville First United Methodist Church, we offer programs of Christian Education that focuses on the spiritual development of children and their families.
8:45am, 10:00am, and 11:00am Rooms 202, 204
Children from birth to 3 years old share in a time of play with our faithful leaders. Nursery is available during the Worship and Sunday School hours.
8:45am and 11:00am Room 208
Children Ages 4 years to 1st Grade are invited to leave the sanctuary during the sermon for an age appropriate message. On the first Sunday of the month, children will return to their families for Communion.
10:00am Rooms 207, 208, 209
Age based Sunday School groups are available for PreK-5th grade children. Each week a video from the Deep Blue Curriculum introduces the bible story for the day. Children participate in skits, art projects, songs, and discussion about the story. The stories told for Fall of 2017 include Samuel, David, and Solomon.
5:15-6:15pm Rooms 207, 208, 209
Each Wednesday night, PreK-5th grade children gather to Prayerfully Serve As Little MethodistS for the year. Children will begin the evening as a large group playing a game and hearing the weekly story. Children will then break into age based small groups to dive deeper into the story. Science, art, music, and more are incorporated into this evening activity. This event is followed by our Church-wide Family Supper in the Grace Hall Dining Room.
Wednesday, October 25th 5:30-7:30pm
Friends of all ages and stages are invited to an evening of family fun and games! Come dressed as your favorite family-friendly halloween character and participate in carnival games, hayrides, inflatables, supper, and more. This event is free to the public but a donation to ACTS of non-perishable food items is encouraged as admission. This event is open to the community, all are welcome!
